• Fire Safety Signs should be used to advise the location of fire alarms and fire fighting equipment (colours: red and white)

• Mandatory Signs should be used to provide instructions and often involve the word “MUST” e.g. “Safety goggles must be worn in this area” (colours: blue and white)

• Prohibition Signs should be used to warn people about areas they are not permitted to enter, or actions they cannot do in the said area (colours: black, white and red, normally with a red annulus and slash symbol).
